Samsung GALAXY S5 Launches In India

Samsung has finally launched its new Galaxy S5 flagship. The phone which sports a true octa-core processor made its debut at the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, and was unveiled in India today at a price of Rs 51,000-53,000.

The phone features a

• 5.1-inch Full HD Amoled screen 
• is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 5422 (A15 1.9 GHz ＋ A7 1.3 GHz) processor with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing. 
• The phone in India will not sport the Snapdragon 801 chip that was announced for the global model. 
• The S5 runs the latest version of Android 4.4 (KitKat).
•  There's 2 GB RAM,
•  16/32 GB internal storage,
•  microSD card slot, and
•  2800 mAh battery. 
• The camera module has been upgraded to 16 megapixels. Samsung claims that the handset has the world's fastest autofocus speed up to 0.3 seconds.

Samsung also launched its range of GALAXY Gear devices at the event. The Galaxy Gear 2 is priced at Rs 21,900, while both the GALAXY Gear 2 Neo and the GALAXY Fit are priced at Rs 15,900 each. All the devices launched will hit the shelves and go on sale online on the 11th of April 2014.

Windows 8.1 To Launch This Spring

According to Microsoft's vice president and manager for Windows Phone Program Management Mr. Joe Belfiore,the first significant update for Windows 8.1 will start rolling out in the spring.

The upcoming Windows 8.1 patch is said to improve the experience for mouse and keyboard users. Furthermore, the update will include enhancements such as a title bar at the top of the modern apps and power buttons on the Windows start screen.

With the new version of the OS, you will be able to switch between the apps via the Windows 8.1 taskbar. Additional changes allow you to close apps with a right click menu (if you’re using a mouse). Apart from the tweaks, the spring update will also allow OEM’s to lower their hardware specifications for devices, according to Belfiore.

Microsoft hasn’t named its forthcoming update, but previous rumors suggest that it will be called as ‘update 1′ for Windows 8.1. The Redmond giant is not providing any availability details at the moment, but the company is expected to reveal more information during its BUILD developer event in April.

Apple TV to get software update

When Apple was going to launch the iPhone's(Check what happened here- Part 1 Part 2), there was a rumour about the launch of a new Apple TV, but that got squashed.

But if rumours are to be believed, then the new software update to the Apple TV will launch simultaneously to the iOS 7 on the 18th of September 2013.

Micromax to launch a phone with Solar Charging!

As per some reports Micromax is going to launch a phone with a built in Solar Charging. The phone will be a feature phone not a smart phone. The phone is said to be having 1.5 hrs of talktime and will charge the phone in just 3 hrs.

Sony's WonderBook

Sony in this year's E3 launched a very interesting book called the WonderBook.

What is does is that it has a series of QR codes on it, when you have a playstation 3's eye it scans the QR code and makes the book's characters animated. It also works with the Playstation move.
