Nokia's Meltemi OS gets axed


Nokia has apparently abandoned the Meltemi OS which was supposed to be launched in budget smartphones and they have planned to stick to the Series 40 platform for their Asha Series

BlackBerry OS 10

Blackberry known for its brilliant QWERTY keyboards will not have one in the forthcoming BB OS 10. The phone has a full touchscreen.

BlackBerry in its World event showcased the OS10, which is the QNX based version. The device shown, apparently will not be the handset launched with OS 10 the final handset is rumoured to have the following specs

  • 4.2 Inch Capacitive TouchScreen
  • Resolution of 1024x768
  • 16 GB of Onboard Memory
  • 1GB of RAM
  • Mini HDMI

As you can see the phone looks quite interesting and has a well thought off swipe based gesture based system.
