This week Valve announced three new ventures they are
Steam OS
Valve has announced that an OS that would be based on Linux, which not only would be able to play games on, watch tv etc. The OS is also said to have a in house streaming system by which you can stream whats in your pc, laptop wirlessly The OS will be free for download
Steam Machine
According to the rumor you will be able to custom build your steam machine and run it on a TV, that would run on a Steam OS
Steam Controller
Welcome the Steam controller a controller you have never ever seen in your life!!
